Cookie Policy
Last reviewed July 2026. This note explains the small text files this website stores in your browser, and how you choose which are optional. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of text a website places on your device so it can remember a choice, a language, a login, or, in our case, whether you have already dismissed the age gate and the cookie banner. They cannot access other files on your device. We use them sparingly.
2. Essential cookies
These keep the site working and are set as soon as you arrive. Under the EEA e-Privacy rules they do not require your consent, because they only remember choices you have already made on the page in front of you. The essential cookies we set are: a record that you have confirmed you are 18 or over (so the gate does not re-appear), and a record of your response to the cookie banner (so it does not re-appear either). Both are stored locally in your browser and expire when you clear its site data.
3. Optional analytics
If you accept them, we set an analytics cookie that helps us understand which pages are read and which links are followed. We use this only to write the site better. No advertising identifiers are set, and no personal data is shared with third parties for marketing. If you choose to reject optional cookies, this analytics cookie is not set.
4. Your choice
When you arrive we show a banner with two buttons of equal prominence: Accept all and Reject optional. You may change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser; the banner will then re-appear on your next visit.
5. Third parties
This site does not embed third-party trackers, social widgets, advertising networks, or external font services. Photographs and typography are hosted on our own domain.
6. Questions
If you have any question about this notice or wish to exercise the rights described in the Privacy Policy, please write to [email protected].
